NEXIS BUSINESS OS

A team inbox starts with a properly connected channel.

A social profile link and a messaging integration do different jobs. The first helps a customer reach you; the second allows supported messages to reach a connected workspace. NEXIS provides an inbox workflow, but each external channel needs its own permissions and setup.

7-day trial. Starter $49.99 USD/month after the trial. AI usage is billed separately.

Is this the right workflow for you?

For teams willing to configure and test the supported messaging channels they use. Do not assume that every social network, historical thread, attachment type or messaging action is available merely because the account has an inbox screen.

How the workflow works

  1. Choose the channel you actually need

Identify where customers contact you and distinguish a public contact button from a connected inbox. Test one channel first so you can understand its permissions, message behaviour and operational requirements.

  2. Authorise the appropriate account

Use the channel setup in your workspace with an authorised business account. Instagram messaging requires an eligible professional account and the necessary permissions and approval. A public Instagram link does not complete this process.

  3. Send a new test conversation

From a separate test customer account, send a new message and check whether it reaches the workspace. Test the supported manual reply flow. Do not judge historical import from a new-message test: they are different capabilities.

  4. Connect the conversation to a next step

Agree who responds and how the team records follow-up. If the customer needs an appointment, share the booking route. A message alone does not mean a confirmed appointment or a completed payment.

A proposed workflow change

An operational example to evaluate in your trial, not a customer case study or a promise of results.

Without a connected process

Public social links are mistaken for inbox connections, and the team assumes messages will appear without authorisation or a delivery test.

With the NEXIS workflow

The team verifies an authorised channel with a new test message and supported reply, then uses bookings and customer records for the next step. Unsupported channels remain in their original tools.

Check before you launch

  • For Instagram, verify a new direct message and a manual text reply with your account permissions.
  • Historical Instagram conversations, comment replies and autonomous AI replies are not promised by this workflow.
  • Threads inbox is not available. Do not treat a public Threads link as a messaging integration.
  • WhatsApp messaging and automated reminders have separate account, consent, template and subscription requirements.

Questions about this workflow

Will adding a WhatsApp link connect the inbox?

No. A public contact link opens a contact route for visitors. The platform messaging connection requires separate authorisation and configuration.

Can I reply to Instagram comments or import all old conversations?

These capabilities are not included in the published new-message and manual text-reply scope. Test supported direct messages with your authorised professional account.

Does AI automatically answer every customer?

No. Do not assume autonomous replies from the presence of an AI feature. Review the configured workflow and keep human responsibility for customer responses.
