PRACTICAL GUIDE

Connect bookings to Pipedrive, then verify the destination records.

A useful integration test follows a customer event all the way to its destination. For NEXIS and Pipedrive, test an enquiry and a booking separately because they create different types of sales records.

Is this the right workflow for you?

For an owner or administrator configuring the supported NEXIS connector. This is a product setup checklist, not a claim that your particular production account has already passed an integration test.

Follow the setup and decision checklist

  1. Check access and the account you will connect

Sign in to the intended NEXIS workspace and use the Pipedrive integration setup as an owner or administrator. Authorise the correct Pipedrive account. Keep credentials and access tokens out of customer messages, screenshots and support posts.

  2. Wait for readiness, then activate

Confirm the connection is ready before enabling transfers. Note when it was activated so you can distinguish new test events from records that existed beforehand. Historical data is not backfilled by this connector.

  3. Create and verify a new enquiry

Submit a clearly identifiable sample enquiry through the supported NEXIS flow. Open Pipedrive and check for the person, lead and follow-up task. Review their details, rather than treating an integration status badge as the completed test.

  4. Create and verify a new booking

Submit a sample booking and check the resulting person and activity in Pipedrive. Compare the appointment information with NEXIS. If your process relies on booking updates, test those separately where supported and document any remaining manual work.

A proposed workflow change

An operational example to evaluate in your trial, not a customer case study or a promise of results.

Without a connected process

The connection is authorised and assumed to work, while nobody checks whether the intended sales records are created.

With the NEXIS workflow

The team can identify the sample enquiry and booking in both products, understands which records are transferred and has an agreed fallback for exceptions.

Check before you launch

  • Use distinguishable sample records so the team can review and clean them up through its normal process.
  • Test after activation; existing records are not a valid backfill test.
  • Do not expect two-way field changes, historical contact import, overwritten existing contact fields or exported chat history.
  • If a record is missing, review the connection state and relevant event before repeating submissions and creating possible duplicates.

Questions about this workflow

Why do I need to test both an enquiry and a booking?

The supported enquiry flow can create a person, lead and follow-up task. The booking flow can create a person and activity. Success for one does not establish success for the other.

Should I resend all existing contacts?

No. This connector is not a historical migration tool. Plan any migration separately and assess duplicate handling before bulk operations.

What should I send support if a test fails?

Provide the workspace, event type, approximate time and a description of the missing result through the appropriate support channel. Do not include passwords or access tokens.
